Born and raised on the East coast, Joanne Raab has loved to paint and sew since she was a child. Since moving to St. Louis in the mid 1990’s, she concentrates on watermedia collage and art quilts. She has participated in the Journal Quilt exhibits at the IQF show in Houston in 2002 and 2003. She was a finalist in the juried shows Celebrate Spring and Small Wonders in the IQF show in Chicago 2005. Her quilt Freedom Didn’t Die was in the traveling show and was published in the book, America from the Heart: Quilters remember September 11, 2001. She lives with a very understanding man, a retired racing greyhound and a bald cat.

Redemption II is an exploration of the basic human desire for salvation: the need to know goodness prevails and our life has meaning. That we will be delivered from the penalty of sins.
